Reconnecting health and work — at scale, with evidence, for everyone.

Work is a powerful determinant of health.

I am an internationally and nationally recognised leader in work and health — supporting people whether they’re employed, self-employed or out of work. My roles span clinical practice, national leadership, innovation, research and global workforce health.

  • National Clinical Expert in Occupational Health and Wellbeing, NHS England
  • Consultant in Occupational Medicine
  • Director, Workforce Health Innovation Centre, Imperial College London
  • Independent expert contributing to WHO/ILO workforce health initiative
  • Board Director, Council for Work and Health

I work with governments, health systems, employers and international organisations to develop practical, evidence-based solutions that improve workforce health, organisation performance and economic participation. My current work includes delivering WHISP - the Work and Health Integrated Support Pathway - and its embedded Clinical Health and Work Assessment, CHWA, commissioned regionally to provide the clinical layer alongside WorkWell and Connect to Work referrals.
